RESTAURANTS

In a word... Wow!!! The restaurants here are fabulous. From the simple taverna to fine dining, Ios caters for every taste.

With so many fabulous restaurants. It's hard to pick a selection, but here's some mouth-watering favourites...

Drakos - An authentic waterside taverna a stones throw from our shack, Drakos serves up the freshest, tastiest seafood on the island and their calamari might possibly be the best in the world. Delicious.

Lord Byron's - what Molly and Billy don't know about food, probably isn't worth knowing. The huge pork chop is legendary, (One guy apparently had it 23 nights in a month). Molly's cocktails and deserts are a dream. Frozen Mojitos on the terrace, accompanying a delicious Langoustine soup. And the B52 tiramisu? It doesn't get much better than this.

Piperi - tough one this... do you visit more for the food, or to see Mark?... both are truly quite unique! Proper no nonsense, delicious European grub will leave you more than satisfied. Great portions and you'll struggle to find happier service anywhere in Ios.

Polidoro's - hidden over towards Koumbara beach, this is an Ios institution and very popular with the locals. No frills, just outstanding home-cooked food, old-school style. Yum

Katoey - fabulous contemporary mezes, outstanding cuisine and served by the lovely Theodora to your welcoming courtyard table... probably with a raki or two!

Far Out Village - after a hard day of watersports, you may, like us, often barely be able to make it much further than across the road, past the pool to grab a cold beer and tuck into a fantastic wood-fired pizza, or the tasty chicken or seafood risotto.

We could go on forever, but need to go and get some food!
